Why DELMORIVA makes every piece around a buckle, harness ring, T-bar or hook that really moves, and what the pieces are made of.
Why buckles
The buckle ring is an old British favourite. The double buckle in particular has been handed down, bought second-hand and worn every day for generations. The traditional versions often cost well over a hundred pounds, or have to be hunted down second-hand.
DELMORIVA makes that idea in 18K gold-plated 316L stainless steel, at a price you can wear on an ordinary Tuesday. And every piece keeps one thing the old rings had: a fastening that actually works. Tongues lift on hinge pins, harness rings swing on their loops, T-bars turn through their rings, snap hooks open and close.
Four ways to fasten
We list the whole shop by the part that opens and closes, because that is what each piece is built around.
- Buckle — a frame, a hinged tongue and a strap with punched holes. On rings, bangles, cords and rolls.
- Harness ring — round rings that swing on a loop, as on a bridle. On hoops, drops and bracelets.
- T-bar — a straight bar through a ring. Wear it at the front as the detail, or at the back.
- Snap hook — a sprung gate, like the clip on a lead rope. One hand is enough.
One brown, one gold
The leather pieces — cord and strap bracelets, jewellery rolls and envelopes — come in one saddle brown, with the same small gold-tone buckles as the rings. A ring, a strap bangle and a saddle cord are meant to be worn together on one hand, and we sell them so you can add all three at once.
Plain about materials
The metal pieces are 316L stainless steel with an 18K gold-plated finish. Plating is a thin layer: it is not solid gold, and it wears over time where it rubs. We do not describe our jewellery as hypoallergenic or nickel-free. If you have a known metal allergy, please read Materials & care before you buy.
